What you will be doing:

• Lead Engineering: Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation, ownership, and problem-solving.

• Own Technology Strategy: Develop and execute the technology strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals to drive product excellence and scalability.

• Oversee Product Development: Manage the entire product development lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality solutions.

• Drive Technical Excellence: Implement best practices in software development, quality assurance, and deployment, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.

• Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with product, design, and other stakeholders to align engineering efforts with company objectives and customer needs.

• Manage Technical Operations: Ensure the performance, security, and scalability of technology infrastructure, delivering a seamless user experience.

• Innovate & Scale: Lead the integration of advanced AI features and other innovations to position Vahan as a leader in technology-driven employment solutions.

• Contribute to Leadership: Play a key role in strategic planning and decision-making, helping to shape the overall direction of the company.

You will thrive in this role if you:

• Bring 10+ years of experience in architecture, software design, and engineering within complex, fast-paced early-stage startups.

• Have deep expertise in systems architecture and service-based codebases, with a strong focus on designing highly available, fault-tolerant, and scalable systems.

• Are skilled at building and leading engineering teams that take products from idea to launch (0 to 1) and from launch to scale (1 to 10).

• Possess excellent communication and leadership skills, particularly adept at managing teams in a remote work environment.

• Are a strong developer, capable of mentoring and challenging even the best in your team.

• Have a passion for building impactful products that drive meaningful results.

• Possess in-depth knowledge of backend and frontend technologies, including NodeJS, Java, Postgres/MySQL, ReactJS, Docker, and Kubernetes.

• Have experience in mobile development, particularly with Android and/or React Native.
