About the Role:
As the Category Lead, you will be at the forefront of defining and executing strategies that drive growth and efficiency within critical verticals. This position requires a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of category management, supply chain dynamics, and the evolving landscape of delivery and dark store operations.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Strategic Category Management: Develop and implement comprehensive strategies for the Delivery and Dark Stores categories, aligning with Vahan’s overarching business objectives.
- P&L Ownership: Drive revenue growth and cost optimization, ensuring profitability and long-term sustainability of the category.
- Market Analysis & Insights: Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscapes within the delivery and dark store sectors.
- Vendor & Partner Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with key vendors and partners, negotiating favorable terms and fostering collaborations that enhance category performance.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee the operational aspects of the categories, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and adherence to quality standards.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a lean, high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Performance Monitoring: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess category performance, making data-driven decisions to drive growth and profitability.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, sales, and product development, to ensure cohesive strategies and execution.
You’ll Thrive in This Role If You:
- Bring 10+ years of overall professional experience, with at least 6 years in category management.
- Have a strong track record of P&L ownership and driving business outcomes.
- Are experienced in leading lean, high-performing teams with a focus on accountability and impact.
- Possess strategic thinking and the ability to navigate complex, dynamic market environments.
- Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving capabilities, making data-driven decisions.
- Communicate with clarity and influence across senior stakeholders.
- Bring deep knowledge of delivery, e-commerce, or dark store ecosystems; experience in the recruitment industry is a plus.
